The sitting room is traditionally furnished with squashy, feather-filled sofas, a cosy log burning stove, a dining table, and for the musically inclined, a baby grand piano. There is a Bose Wave® system to play a CDs, an AM/FM radio and an eclectic, personal collection of CDs for you to enjoy. There is free Wifi internet access and there is a DAB radio which is Bluetooth enabled so you can stream music, audiobooks or podcasts from your phone, tablet or computer.

The limited edition prints by printmaker Jill Kerr in contemporary frames are hung throughout the room. Her linocut prints reveal a sophisticated eye for colour and composition in the observation of the natural world, the subject of her prints. 

There are bookshelves of books with a focus on Scottish writers and nature writing, a bureau full of board games and jigsaws. We think we've thought of everything including wine glasses and a corkscrew!
