The Lint Mill offers 4 star gold B&B on a delightful traditional smallholding farm located between Edinburgh & Glasgow in the rolling countryside of Scotland’s Southern Uplands. We aim to be self-sufficient, organic & sustainable. We are in conversion with the Soil Association and we have a Green Tourism Gold Award.

Glasgow / March 2016

I came to The Lint Mill for three days as part of my academic sabbatical, with the aim of getting some writing done. It has been absolute heaven. A lovely breakfast, a day of writing in the cosy artist's studio - interrupted only by afternoon tea and cake - and then a fab dinner (accompanied by an ale or two). What more could one ask for? I'm heading back to Glasgow completely refreshed and rejuvenated - and with 18 eggs! Until my next visit.

Only our second visit, so lots more needed to get any sort of record! The last visit was a bit over two years ago and quite a few changes outside especially more hens, more turkeys and certainly more veg and fruit produce. What hasn’t changed though is the friendly care and devotion that is put into the B&B each and every day. Thank you Colin for being so considerate of Pat’s food intolerances - it makes such a difference when staying away from home.

So glad that we found The Lint Mill….very relaxing and an oasis of calm. Eaten so well and enough for a whole month! Lovely to have our own sitting room, real fire in the stove and both meals in the conservatory…Colin has been such a generous host.

What an inspirational place! The food was superb and our hosts a mine of information. We were so pleased to discover The Lint Mill and eat food that has come from the land we stand on.
