All in a Day’s Digging

What our muddy-snouted weaners began last September has at last been finished by Colin this week. The ground is weed and stone free and ready for planting in soil that is sandy and fertile; good ground for a variety of crops. The potatoes which have been chitting on the kitchen windowsill can now be planted out. It turns out the area is bigger than our polytunnel so I am hopeful that there will be space for the cut flower garden I have been wanting since we moved. Only the issue of an access path to solve and we’ve doubled our growing area this week!
