We have just arrived home after a very relaxing stay at the Lint Mill. A roaring fire welcomed us into our accommodation as Colin showed us round. Stunning setting and a friendly host who took time to chat with us and make us feel very welcome. Our 3 course dinner was an absolute feast. Set in a separate conservatory lit by candles with soft music playing it was very romantic. The food prepared and served by Colin was out of this world. Soup served with homemade bread and beef served with homegrown vegetables, followed by the most decadent chocolate pudding I've ever tasted. Breakfast this morning was served in our own conservatory. Bacon, sausage and eggs all from the smallholding and bread straight from the oven!! I really can't fault this place. If I could have given 10 stars I would have!!! I will definitely be back. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Nadia & Gordon, Glasgow UK - February 2016

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay here. It was lovely to relax by the fire while the storm raged outside. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the facilities were spot on. Will definitely come again and recommend to our friends.

Sean and Allan, South Queensferry - December 2015

We thank you for your hospitality in such peaceful surrounds. You are really great hosts. We will recommend you to friends who like Scotland as we do.

Harald & Andrea, Cologne, Germany - September 2015

Thank you so much! Your home is so welcoming. We enjoyed the wonderful suppers and breakfasts Colin. Thanks for taking the time to show us around, you have an idyllic spot. The personal touches really put you over the top - the sweet peas were so beautiful, all the magazines and books that you both so graciously shared - very relaxing. Look us up if ever you come to Canada.

Paulette & Donnie, PEI, Canada - August 2015

Easily the best B&B we have stayed in! Warm, spacious, tasteful...our three days here have been a real pleasure and the breakfasts are absolutely without compare!
David & Liz, London UK - April 2014

Such a cosy place to be on a cold, blustery February night, curled up be the wood burning stove, reading or listening to music, then upstairs to a well-appointed bathroom and fall into a comfy and inviting bed. Debby and Colin you are very welcoming and companionable hosts who have created a relaxing oasis, a home from home without the domestic routine, where nothing is too much bother.

Gail, Berkshire, UK - February 2014

SUPERB everything - hosptality, fire, food, unclutteredness, decor, fine collection of books and tunes...all on an organic smallholding...shall certainly be recommending!

Stephen & Soozy, Inverurie, UK - December 2014

This is an exceptional B&B, and we had the most comfortable stay. What a joy and welcome to arrive and find the fire lit and a cosy room to relax in before a really delicious dinner. You have thought of everything and certainly know how to look after your guests. We have had a wonderful breakfast to set us on our way. I very much hope we can return again one day. Thank you both for a truly memorable stay.

Deborah & Andrew - London, UK - November 2013

"Time stands still here. We have had such a lovely welcome and been so well looked after. Lots to do and see and good craic in the evenings."

Ann & Alan - Fife, Scotland - October 2013

"Our stay here was so delightful, where do I start? Colin and Debby were so open and inviting, they felt like old friends we had just become reacquainted with...the homegrown vegetables, farm-raised meat and lovingly made jams, bread, scones and more being the 'delicious' proof. Superb in every way and all done with, what appeared to be, such ease...Thank you so much for making this such a special stay We loved every minute and will wish for a return visit."

Joanie & Dave - Massachusetts, USA - September 2013

"Back again for another wonderful few days. Thanks so much for your fantastic hospitality once again. I think Charlie will always remember his trailer ride on Matilda! See you soon (already planning when!).

"Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at your Country Cottage and the taste of farm living - without the burden of being responsible. A most refreshing visit. I especially appreciate how you create an oasis of calm for the restoration of the soul. The animals, the food, the flowers, the attention to details and the conversations have all been a blessing."
Bob - Ohio, USA - June 2013

"Thank you for a lovely stay, only wish it was for longer - we will have to return. You have created an oasis of peace and tranquility, that and luxury surroundings and attention to detail mean to want for nothing. It was great to see all the animals around the farm. We will recommend The Lint Mill to our friends and family."

"Thank you for your warm and generous hospitality, it has been a real privilege to stay in your beautiful home. We have really enjoyed exploring the farm and seeing all your animals, the delicious and hearty food (thanks for the chocolate pud recipe), cosy evenings spent in front of the woodburning stove and much fellowship. This stay has undoubtedly recharged our batteries and we're already planning to return in the spring to see the new born lambs."

David, Jules & Grace - Yorkshire, UK - January 2013

I came to The Lint Mill for three days as part of my academic sabbatical, with the aim of getting some writing done. It has been absolute heaven. A lovely breakfast, a day of writing in the cosy artist's studio - interrupted only by afternoon tea and cake - and then a fab dinner (accompanied by an ale or two). What more could one ask for? I'm heading back to Glasgow completely refreshed and rejuvenated - and with 18 eggs! Until my next visit.

Simon, Glasgow - March 2016

I can't even begin to say how wonderful our stay has been but it has truly been one of the loveliest B&B experiences we've ever had. Every aspect has been perfect, the location, the surroundings, the hospitality and most amazingly the food (Michelin star quality really!). We've had a lovely time and you've made us feel so welcome. We'll be sad to leave but we'll definitely be back. I' so glad we battled through the snow to get here, it's been blissful.

Gemma & Richard, Glasgow January 2016

Thanks for being such brilliant hosts.

Annalaise & Lawrence - Dundee, UK - March 2014

Our second visit, just as we remembered it. Even though here on business it's lovely to return at night to somewhere quiet and comfortable, just the place to relax and chill.

Andrew & Caroline - Lancashire, UK - January 2014

"Thank you so much for a wonderful night. Absolutely beautiful food and hospitality. What a shame it was just for one night. We will return soon."

Joanne & Robin - Teesdale, UK - October 2013

"This is HOSPITALITY as we have never experienced. The landscape is beautiful, the hose is a jewel and both of you made the difference. After my first Scottish breakfast ever, it was clear that Colin you are a great cook. We have already decided we will come back. Like we say in Hungary Köszönöm!

Stephan & Tanya - Budapest, Hungary - September 2013

"An example to B&B's everywhere! I think in the three days we have been here we have sampled most of the breakfast menu, particulary enjoying the different breads and homemade jams. A wonderful evening meal with home grown/produced veg and meat served alongside lively conversation. Once again we are sad to leave but we will be back."

David & Sarah - Cumbria, UK - August 2013

Kay & Alan - Staffordshire UK - July 2013

"This is the best B&B we have stayed in-comfortable bed, superb supper and breakfast and you are both such delightful, hospitable people - and then the surroundings! What a spot to live in - and you have both obviously worked very hard to have such a productive smallholding and such a beautiful house - it has been a privilege to stay here and we shall be back hopefully for more than one night."

Liz & Barry - UK

Perfection. Every detail is taken care of. We can't believe you are only two people for all this work! Delicious food cooked with lovely and beautifully considered interiors. The whole place reeks of generosity and dedication. Thank you so much.
