Home Baked Bread
Our B&B guests enjoyed Colin’s selection of delicious home-baked, handmade bread this morning.
It’s a beautiful day, the first May sunshine we’ve had and Colin was up early baking three different loaves; a soft , light and crusty organic white loaf, a full-flavoured organic wholemeal loaf and a delicious yellow, buttery classic French brioche made with our own free-range eggs
He’s a big fan of Daniel Stevens ‘Bread’ book, one of the lovely River Cottage Handbooks and would enthusiastically recommend it as essential reading for aspiring bakers.
