Jubilee Weekend

Another lovely sunny day, so I decided to make a scarecrow for the kitchen garden. I bought the materials last year but the summer was such a wash out that there never seemed a good time to make it.

The materials:

An old hessian coffee sack
A broom handle
Two garden canes
A bale of orange twine
A needle
A 4 pint plastic milk carton
Straw for stuffing
A straw hat
A spotted handkerchief

A sunny spot on the lawn to cut and sew.
